About the role and the team

TCGplayer, an eBay company, connects the trading card game community through a global marketplace and products that help hobbyists discover what they love and sellers grow their businesses. Founded by TCG enthusiasts, we pair deep knowledge of the hobby with eBay’s commerce expertise, technology, and resources.

We’re looking for a Content Designer III to help make TCGplayer products easier to understand and use! The work spans buyer and seller journeys, seller tools, international and multi-market initiatives, and other areas that support how people participate in the hobby and run their businesses.

As part of the Product Design team, you’ll help shape products from early problem definition through launch and iteration. The work includes information architecture, user flows, terminology, content hierarchy, and interface content, with close partnership across Product, Design, Research, Engineering, and business teams.

This role offers the opportunity to own challenging product problems, influence how solutions take shape, and create clearer, more consistent journeys for hobbyists and sellers. You’ll also help strengthen content patterns and practices that can scale across TCGplayer.

What you will accomplish
  • Own Content Design for product initiatives from discovery through delivery and iteration.

  • Shape user flows, information architecture, content hierarchy, terminology, and interface content.

  • Turn complicated customer, product, and operational needs into clear, intuitive solutions.

  • Partner across Product, Design, Research, Engineering, and business teams to solve problems and build alignment.

  • Use research, data, and customer insights to guide recommendations and evaluate outcomes.

  • Contribute across seller tools, international and multi-market initiatives, onboarding, payments, shipping, and other evolving product areas.

  • Improve reusable content patterns and standards, while using AI-assisted tools where they strengthen quality or efficiency.

What you will bring
  • 5+ years in Content Design, UX Writing, Content Strategy, or a related product discipline.

  • A portfolio that shows how you solve product problems, make decisions, collaborate with partners, and drive measurable impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead Content Design work within cross-functional product teams.

  • Strong skills in simplifying complicated information and workflows through information architecture, user flows, terminology, content systems, and interface content.

  • A track record of building trusted partnerships, communicating a clear point of view, and influencing decisions across teams.

  • Sound judgment when priorities, requirements, or solutions are still evolving.

  • Experience applying customer research, insights, and data to product decisions, along with experience using AI-assisted tools or contributing to AI-enabled products.

  • Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, seller or merchant tools, international or multi-market products, payments, onboarding, or similar product environments is a plus.
