What you'll be doing

The Brand, Community & Client Experience team helps shape how clients, communities, and employees experience CIBC by bringing our brand to life through meaningful partnerships, community investment, and engagement initiatives. As a Consultant, Sponsorship and Community Investment, you’ll support the development, execution, and ongoing management of sponsorship and community investment programs that reflect CIBC’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. You’ll work closely with internal partners and external community organizations to deliver well-executed initiatives that create meaningful experiences for employees and strengthen CIBC’s brand presence. In this role, you’ll help drive programs related to employee giving, fundraising, volunteering, recognition, and sponsorship activation while ensuring consistent branding, strong stewardship, and operational excellence. You’ll also use reporting and analysis to measure impact, support budget tracking, and identify opportunities to enhance program effectiveness.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Program execution - Manage and support community investment campaigns, sponsorship activations, employee engagement initiatives, and special events throughout the year, ensuring a high standard of delivery, professionalism, and consistency.
  • Partnership management - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners, charitable organizations, and community stakeholders to identify opportunities, support stewardship, and help protect and strengthen CIBC’s brand in the community.
  • Employee engagement support - Coordinate initiatives that encourage employee giving, volunteering, fundraising, and recognition, while providing guidance, communications support, and results tracking for key programs.
  • Reporting and insights - Track, analyze, and report on program performance, budgets, and partnership outcomes to support ongoing decision-making, annual reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational excellence - Support planning, budgeting, and process improvements that simplify delivery, improve the employee and partner experience, and increase efficiency across programs.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 5-7 years of related experience in community investment, sponsorship, employee engagement, fundraising, corporate social impact, or a similar collaborative environment.
  • You’re a strong relationship builder. You build trust with a wide range of stakeholders and work effectively across teams, including partners in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, and business lines.
  • You know how to manage multiple priorities. You have strong project management, organization, and budget management skills, and you can deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • You use data to inform decisions. You’re comfortable tracking results, analyzing performance, and identifying opportunities to improve outcomes or address gaps through thoughtful action plans.
  • You’re an effective communicator. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you’re confident engaging with employees and stakeholders at different levels across the organization.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
