What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Network Engineering team within CIBC’s Technology Operations Management. As a Consultant Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, maintenance and quality assurance of CIBC IT Infrastructure and Networks. You will be a subject matter expert on network designs and provide advisory to project teams. You will foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients’ banking experience.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Technological Knowledge: You are able to demonstrate a strong technical experience in Networks and Security. Utilizing your skillset in a technical leadership capacity to drive progress and provide resolution to any issues that may arise.

  • Strong Communication Skills: You are a strong written/verbal communicator who is willing to speak up to ensure clear communication channels with team members and other teams. You are able to clearly communicate with different team members and teams while also being able to communicate to executive leadership when required.

  • Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to resolves technical issues and to determine root cause alongside recommending solutions with the general guidance from the Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 3-5 years' experience in a large enterprise environment and practical working knowledge of networking, network security, Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint) and VPN, and routers and switches (Cisco) , and Knowledge of network Analytical tools ( Netscout ,Netbrain ). It is an asset if you have experience with network automation, load balancing (F5, Avi), API programming, and Cloud (Azure, AWS). You have expert experience in highly available/resilient wide-area networking architecture and design. Your knowledge of WAN technologies (MPLS/IPVPN/SDWAN), IPAM, DNS (Infoblox) NTP . You have advance knowledge and experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN. 

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Programming, Computer Engineering or provide demonstrated experience and at least one Cisco Network certification. Certification CCNP and CCDP
