What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Enterprise DevOps Enablement team within CIBC’s Financial Crimes & Enterprise Risk Technology department. You’ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise DevSecOps roadmap. As a DevOps Infrastructure Management Consultant, you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both support and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

This role is responsible for delivering sound and scalable processes, best practices and incident management across several Enterprise DevOps applications within FCERT. Our team services 30K+ users and multiple critical projects across CIBC. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating CCRs, SCM, Deviations, Reporting, Intakes, Projects and the management of incidents related to the Enterprise DevOps applications.

As a DevOps Infrastructure Management Consultant, you will assemble, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll participate in the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.  Reporting into the Senior Manager, Application Development, you be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple DevOps systems. 

This role is required to support the DevOps Toolchain as part of TechMod Program. The role will be responsible for supporting, delivering sound and scalable processes, enforcing best practices and providing incident management across several Enterprise DevOps applications. Our team services 30K+ users and multiple critical projects across CIBC. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating CCRs, SCM, Deviations, Reporting, Intakes, Projects and the management of incidents related to the Enterprise DevOps applications.

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.   • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Analysis & Recommendations - Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects. Gather and analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group

Who you are

  • You’ve spent at least 3 years in a role providing solutions and supporting applications.
  • You must have 3 years of experience in Infrastructure Management in IT domain or financial institution.
  • You must have solid knowledge of DevSecOps tools (such as Jira/Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory or similar) and production support.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and
