What this Job Entails: 

The Learning Solutions Developer III will be part of a leading-edge learning strategy team responsible for the creation of blended-learning solutions and transformational strategies that align with the strategic objectives of Astreya Programs and their top key clients. The role will focus on content development, storyboarding, blended learning design, and enhancing a diverse array of learning solutions for the purpose of improving the performance of employees within functional groups of Astreya. The focus of this work is designing and developing learning and practicing experiences in support of multiple positions for all functions across the organization. This role creates engaging learning activities and interactive course content that attracts, develops and retains valued employees. Through consultative relationships with key stakeholders, this role will assess and develop learning content requirements and conduct needs assessments. This role has primary accountability of determining the proper blend of instructor-led, hands-on, and eLearning training to be used in a given solution that supports the overall Learning strategy within the organization.

  • Works on problems of a diverse scope 

  • Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develops a consultative relationship with key stakeholders and subject-matter-experts to assess and develop learning content requirements.

  • Partners with Program Management and subject matter experts to identify new learning needs, map them to the appropriate competencies, obtain source information and validate courseware content.

  • Coordinate with internal partners to develop assessments to measure learning impact.

  • Coordinate implementation of the newly developed curriculum with internal customers.

  • Participate in creation of engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of performance.

  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.

  • Determine the proper blend of instructor-led, hands-on, and eLearning training to be used in a given solution.

  • Design and develop innovative learning methodologies such as case studies, engaging stories, motivating scenarios and gamification to reflect the content, audience, and business needs.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Strong attention to detail, creative solutions, and analytical skills required 

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work within a collaborative environment

  • Willingness to take initiative, without waiting for direction

  • Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint design, Excel and Word skills

  • Ability to pay attention to metrics, detail, and quality of output 

  • Results oriented and deadline driven

  • Excellent English language skills 

  • Familiarity with voiceover technology

Preferred Qualifications: 

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

  • Must be able to use a computer

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively 

  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
