What you'll be doing

The Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) team provides timely support and management of CIBC’s enterprise-wide Regulatory Compliance Management program (RCM Program). Working with the Bank’s Oversight Functions, the RCM team ensures that the regulatory compliance management program is operating effectively and efficiently across the enterprise. Reporting to the Director, RCM, as a Consultant, you will support the RCM team to execute their responsibilities under the RCM program, including supporting the Senior RCM Portfolio Managers. in performing regulatory oversight, implementing and enhancing RCM program processes, training and reporting. The consultant will also be responsible for the following: support the RCM Portfolio Management team in the coordination of the semi-annual Oversight Function Effectiveness Assessments and aggregation of information from OFs to inform RCM reporting and CCO opinion and support the Administration of the RCM Mailbox, RCM SharePoint site, Oversight Function contact list updates, and other related RCM program administration.

How you’ll succeed

  • Regulatory Oversight – Support the Senior RCM Portfolio Managers. in their regulatory oversight through activities such as researching and analyzing regulatory requirements.

  • Program Implementation – Build strong relationships with Oversight Function partners and provide support with the RCM Program processes, RCM controls and deficiencies in coordination with the Senior RCM Portfolio Managers.

  • Program Enhancement – Perform analysis on the current regulatory compliance management libraries and data to derive insights for opportunities to enhance and strengthen the Program, including identifying efficiency opportunities and contributing to ensuring data quality in all RCM Program systems.

  • Reporting – Support the Director, RCM to design and produce RCM related reporting, including developing and maintaining metrics to measure regulatory compliance risk.

  • Strategic Initiatives – On occurrence, as assigned by the Director, RCM, you will participate as a member in RCM strategic initiatives and projects.
