What you'll be doing
You’ll join CIBC’s Platform Health & Adoption team, taking a lead role in supporting and optimizing Banking Centre applications. As a Business Systems Consultant (BSC), you will lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. Act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology, with a strong focus on supporting Production Escalations from multiple sources and optimizing operational processes. Collaborate with stakeholders and other lines of business to investigate, resolve, and prevent production issues, while continuously identifying efficiencies in current workflows. Leverage your expertise in SQL to draft queries and extract data, supporting platform health monitoring and reporting. Utilize AI tools to drive automation and process optimization, and champion the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance application performance and stability. Partner with business and technology teams to improve the user experience for Banking Centre applications and ensure the highest standards of platform health.

How you'll succeed
Production escalation & application support - Act as the primary point of contact for production escalations related to Banking Centre applications, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and communication. Collaborate with business partners, production support, and vendors to address and resolve escalated issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures. Perform routine health checks and leverage SQL to pull and analyze data, supporting platform health assessments and proactive issue detection. Lead and support the deployment, validation, acceptance, and ongoing operations of frontline applications.
Strategic process optimization - Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to optimize the way we work, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability. Apply strategic thinking to streamline workflows and enhance production support models. Utilize AI tools and automation solutions to drive continuous improvement in monitoring, alerting, and remediation processes.
Project leadership - Lead end-to-end project implementation, providing subject matter expertise and mentoring to team members. Foster a collaborative environment, supporting technology and project professionals in resolving operational and process challenges.
Performance monitoring & reporting - Build, monitor, and report on alerting and performance processes, leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive platform health improvements. Assist in developing and optimizing policies for deployment, automation, and environment management, including preventative, detective, and remedial controls.
Who you are
You have 2 to 5 years of work experience in application operations within a financial institution, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and identify process efficiencies.
You excel at managing and resolving production escalations, with a proven track record of optimizing support processes and improving system stability. You are experienced in drafting SQL queries to extract and analyze data, supporting platform health and operational reporting.
You have hands-on experience with AI tools and automation technologies, and a history of driving optimization through innovative solutions.
You put clients first, engaging with purpose to deliver the right solutions and enhance user experiences.
