You'll act as a liaison with our Governance and Control partners on time-sensitive requests, including audit artifacts, audit reviews, follow-ups, and inquiries. In this role, you'll contribute to key business initiatives, support audit walkthroughs, and provide IT risk and audit-related consultation to stakeholders. You'll also conduct ongoing reviews to identify process improvement opportunities and work closely with internal teams to help ensure controls, procedures, and best practices are consistently followed. Through your analysis and collaboration, you'll help strengthen control effectiveness and support a strong, well-managed operating environment.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview

  • Analysis and reporting - Monitor activities and analyze data to identify trends, validation issues, and opportunities to improve existing procedures. Prepare clear communications, reporting, and presentations that help stakeholders understand findings and recommended actions.

  • Process improvement - Review existing processes on an ongoing basis to identify efficiencies, reduce end-user issues, and strengthen controls. Recommend and support improvements that enhance consistency, risk management, and operational effectiveness.

  • Collaboration and guidance - Build strong working relationships across teams to support the delivery of required work items and resolve operational or process-related challenges. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues when needed.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring at least 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow and a strong understanding of access reviews, governance, and control-related processes. • You understand risk and compliance. You have experience working with internal and external audit teams and a strong understanding of compliance requirements, risk controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) considerations. You also understand end-user application security access provisioning processes and the importance of a disciplined control environment.

  • You're organized and deliver with accuracy. You have strong planning, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).
