Job Description

AECOM is seeking experienced Inspectors to support the delivery of water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects around the GTA region. In this role you will provide on-site inspection services to ensure construction compliance with design, safety and environmental standards. compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards during construction.                                                                                                                         

Responsibilities include:                                                                                                                                           

  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety regulations and environmental protection requirements. 
  • Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager, to ensure construction is following project specifications                                                                                          
  • Document construction progress, deficiencies and corrective actions; track and report resolution.    
  • Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Liaise closely with contractors and report inspection findings to the Contract Administrator                                                                                                                          
  • Support commissioning and project close-out activities.                                                                     
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs, QA/QC records and documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of as-built drawings and asset-management reports.               

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:                                                                                                                                      

  • CET designation or equivalent technical diploma.  
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a field role on civil, water and wastewater infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid ON driver’s license and access to own vehicle

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with trenchless technologies, traffic management for municipal construction, and health & safety regulations. 
  • Ability to read and interpret Civil construction drawings and specifications     
  • Ability to document inspection and prepare field reports
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D are an asset 
  • Strong MS Office computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Excellent English communication and documentation skills—both written and verbal.
