SUMMARY
Reporting to the Compounding Supervisor, the compounder will be responsible to participate in a team environment and undertake the tasks associated with compounding for extrusion lines in production department.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK STRAIGHT NIGHT SHIFT AND ROTATING SHIFT ON A 12-HOUR CONTINENTAL SHIFT FORMAT
Rate of pay: $23.77/hr
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure that good quality compound is available for production of siding for the extruders.
- Ensure that all safety and company policies are followed as compound is made available for production.
- Responsible for supplying lines with compound, pigments, regrind, etc.
- Ensure proper material goes into the correct silo.
- Receiving of materials during and after hours (afternoon and midnight shift).
- Ensure deliveries are store in the designated areas.
- Housekeeping duties (i.e. empty garbage central vacuum and regrind filter barrels).
- Assist Operator “II” with cleaning of regrind. Ensure all available regrind is being used.
- Receive materials i.e. loading and unloading of trucks.
- Assist with supplying lines with regrind when required.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials to platform when required.
- Inspect screens between the conveyer and the extruder silos.
- Participate in mid and year-end inventory count if required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Forklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program
- Must be conversant with all aspects of propane powered counter-balanced forklifts.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Must have strong communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work straight night shift and rotating shift on a 12 hour continental shift format.
