About the Role: 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Compliance Operations Analyst to support our compliance initiatives on a temporary basis, with the role expected to conclude by the end of 2025. This position will primarily focus on periodic customer and business due diligence reviews, ensuring our customer records remain up to date and fully compliant with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial services compliance and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The ideal candidate brings experience in financial crime compliance and is comfortable working within regulatory frameworks such as FINTRAC (Canada), FinCEN (U.S.), and other relevant authorities. 

 

This role is Temporary through the end of 2025. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive periodic customer and business due diligence, ensuring all customer information is accurate, complete, and up to date in accordance with internal policies and regulatory expectations. 
  • Identify missing or outdated documentation and coordinate with internal teams or customers to obtain required information. 
  • Analyze customer profiles and activity to assess risk levels and flag potential issues or inconsistencies. 
  • Maintain thorough documentation of reviews, findings, and actions taken in compliance systems. 
  • Stay current on changes in regulatory requirements related to customer due diligence and incorporate updates into review processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including onboarding, risk, and support to ensure smooth and compliant customer lifecycle management. 

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services  and payment industry; CAMS certification preferred 
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations, customer due diligence, and risk assessment practices. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to handle sensitive data with accuracy and confidentiality. 
  • Experience working with compliance platforms and tools 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume environment. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
