The Risk and Compliance function exists to enable the FNZ Group to safely achieve its strategic objectives and protect value; to support the growth and delivery of services and propositions to the quality our clients and regulators expect.

This role has been created in order to:

To assist in the delivery of the day-to-day risk and compliance activities of FNZ with the wider objective of ensuring that risk and compliance arrangements are run in an efficient, effective, and consistent manner. This position has a strong emphasis on understanding, interpreting, and applying documented risk and regulatory requirements. To be successful as a Risk and Compliance Analyst, you should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and maintain the core values of the organization.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Develop open and effective channels of communication with internal teams such as client operations, client service, and audit.

  • Drive an environment of risk and compliance mitigation, operational control and client service.

  • To attend governance meetings as required.

  • To provide training to the business as required.

  • To provide regulated advice in connection with business propositions.

  • To provide risk and compliance support to projects where required.

  • To build relationships with the Company’s clients’ 2LOD functions.

  • To prepare reports and liaise with clients on risk and compliance matters.

Functional Area Responsibilities

  • Promote compliance culture of FNZ promoting the understanding of regulatory obligations.

  • Providing an excellent risk and compliance service to the Company; supporting Senior Management in their risk and regulatory duties and obligations.

  • To ensure that risk and compliance team’s internal processes remain up to date.

  • Be a point of contact for risk and compliance related queries.

Experience Required

Primary requirements

  • Significant previous experience in a risk and compliance role that enables you to support the Clients’ propositions.

  • Good written skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

  • Ability to handle complex issues and escalate as needed acting with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance risk methodology and standards.

  • Computer proficient and working knowledge of desktop software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.)

  • Professional or industry qualification.

  • Ability to analyze, present and report information in a clear and concise manner.

Secondary requirements

  • Calm, reasonable and professional manner.

  • Flexible to change, eager to improve develop new skills.

  • Good knowledge of applicable regulator rules and regulations.

  • Good understanding of current risk and compliance matters facing financial services and tech companies.
