About us:

Chatbase makes it easy for businesses to build and deploy AI agents for all customer interactions. We’re fully bootstrapped and profitable, with $8M+ in ARR and growing quickly. We’ve reached this scale through PLG and content marketing so it's clear the product has pull, now we’re building a world-class brand and community around it.

The role:

As our Community Lead in Toronto, you’ll build and scale the Chatbase community from the ground up, both online and IRL. This is a high-ownership role for someone who loves bringing ambitious builders together and turning users into champions.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and growth team to make Chatbase the default AI agent platform for startups, operators, and devs in Toronto, and eventually beyond.

Crush it and there’s a clear path to grow into a Head of Community or broader brand leadership role.

Why join?

Help define how Chatbase shows up in the real world: events, meetups, partnerships, and content.

Turn power users into ambassadors and build a flywheel between product, community, and revenue.

Direct access to the CEO for fast decisions and real ownership.

Competitive salary + meaningful early equity.

What you’ll do:

Build and host recurring events in Toronto (founder dinners, AI meetups, events for business owners).

Grow and engage our online community (Twitter/X, LinkedIn).

Identify and spotlight customers through case studies, content, and events.

Partner with growth and product to turn community insights into campaigns and roadmap input.

Build relationships with local accelerators, VCs, startup hubs, and university groups.

Create moments that make people proud to be part of the Chatbase ecosystem.

You are:

2–5 years in community, marketing, events, or ecosystem roles (ideally in startups or B2B SaaS).

Deeply plugged into the Toronto tech scene.

High-agency: you don’t wait for permission.

A natural connector who people genuinely like being around.

Excited to build something from scratch and grow with it.
