JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function

  • Identifies the organization's technological, functional and business strengths, establishes data systems that leverage and capitalize on the knowledge of team members, and finds ways to use that knowledge to maximize opportunities and improve business processes.

  • Coordinates with technology and information users, associates with a business unit as an onsite member of the team, contributes to change management.

  • Identifies best practices throughout the organization and communicates and implements these practices to drive the knowledge management initiatives.

  • Interfaces with business areas to provide solutions and tools to build and strengthen business processes.

  • Works with customers to define business requirements while designing, developing and testing moderately complex knowledge capture processes and engineer elaborate workflows, search capabilities and measurement approaches.

  • Understands organizational Knowledge Management framework and operates it within the assigned group.

  • Possesses knowledge of Knowledge Management process reviews and audits and interprets the findings from the audits.

  • Works with leadership to develop and administer reports on application usage and knowledge contributions.

  • Writes communications (e-mail, campaigns, etc.) on various Knowledge Management initiatives to various audiences.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant Knowledge Management and technologies

Major Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Lead Customer and Affiliates Visits at AMS.

  • Instrumental in developing a knowledge culture where people instinctively offer and adopt good practice across all business units.

  • Focus on the building of communities and creating value through effective collaborative working.

  • Drive the application of knowledge from sister sites, where returns are immediate and substantial.

  • Lead bench marking activities and search for innovative practices.

  • Maintain systems, tools and approaches, which support Knowledge Management (KM) implementation, thus enabling knowledge to be captures and deployed effectively.

  • Create, display and communicate visual information that drives performance as a culture.

  • Support reporting scorecards and consolidated charts for site management review, KPI Review and Business Performance Review

  • Report the site performance to the division

  • Assist with the production of staff newsletters, including all necessary approvals/permits, coordination of writers and articles, copywriting and layout, printing and distribution.

  • Draft/send email circulars to communicate, promote HR/training related schemes/issues.

  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3-5 of related experience, preferably with related experience in Knowledge Management.

  • Experience in manufacturing industry will be advantageous

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in knowledge performance management or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to influence and communicate within site and across the Network

  • Good written and spoken English and Mandarin

  • IT and web literacy

  • Knowledge of KM & Collaborative Tools

  • Experience of handling customer visits with great confidence

  • Instrumental in setting up the Knowledge Management Architecture.
