Halter is transforming farming with world-first technology that enables farmers to manage animals and land more efficiently, sustainably, and profitably. Already a leader in New Zealand and Australia, we are scaling rapidly in the United States — and we’re looking for a Communications Lead to help us tell our story.

The Role
As Communications Lead, USA, you’ll be the driving force behind Halter’s communications in our fastest-growing market. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications (Auckland HQ) with a dotted line to the US Country Manager, you’ll shape Halter’s profile through proactive PR, compelling storytelling, and effective issues management.

What You'll Do:

  • Build Halter’s profile across US media and industry channels.
  • Manage and direct our US PR agency.
  • Produce content: press releases, media kits, thought leadership articles, talking points.
  • Provide media training and spokesperson preparation.
  • Anticipate and manage reputational risks, with local crisis response capabilities.
  • Support internal communications and executive profile-raising.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in communications, PR, or corporate affairs.
  • Strong media relationships and a record of securing high-impact coverage.
  • Experience with agency management and integrated PR campaigns.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
