The Position

Our Global Pharma Strategy (GPS) team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by driving the strategic direction of our innovative product portfolio. As a member of the GPS team, you will be at the forefront of transforming groundbreaking scientific discoveries into accessible and impactful healthcare solutions for patients worldwide. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary professionals who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a difference.

As the Commercialisation Strategy Leader in CVRM with specific responsibility for Medically-led Obesity & Metabolism, you will be responsible for driving the global commercialisation strategy and achieving market leadership for our products through the Commercialisation Leadership Team, which you co-lead with the other CSL in this Disease Area. You will collaborate closely with the US, Pharma International, Product Development (PD), and various key stakeholders in Global Pharma Strategy (GPS) to shape development decisions with commercialisation in mind as well as design integrated commercialization strategies that ensure maximum impact in our markets.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the Commercialisation Leadership Team (CLT), promoting a high-performance culture with accountability for driving exceptional collaboration across the team to deliver outstanding business outcomes.

  • Develop comprehensive commercialisation strategies and set unified outcomes that will achieve the disease areas and product ambitions.

  • Work closely with counterparts in the CLT to collaborate on aligning these and achieving them.

  • Act as the key interface between the CLT and respective Lifecycle Teams (LCTs), ensuring alignment and effective communication of the Disease Area Strategy and asset development strategy into a cohesive disease area commercialisation strategy.

  • Contribute a strong voice of the business in governance conversations and development processes to support robust decision-making E2E along the full value chain.

  • Provide strategic input and insights into early-stage assets, ensuring end-to-end alignment across functions and stakeholders.

  • Guide allocation of resources and budgets to ensure the realization of ambitious business goals.

Who You Are

  • High level of experience in commercial and strategic leadership roles in the pharma/biotech industry with an understanding of market realities and development processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise efforts using Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach leadership skills to mobilize teams towards high ambition and winning together.

  • System thinker who leads with an enterprise mindset, appreciating the realities of the development process alongside the US and Pharma International environments.

  • Awareness and/or experience across medical, marketing, and access competencies to leverage expertise into cohesive, integrated strategies.

  • Customer centric with strong strategic thinking, a sense of urgency, an entrepreneurial growth mindset, and preferred experience in metabolic health.
