About The Role

We’re looking for a driven Insurance Broker to serve as Commercial Lines Account Manager for a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, with a strong focus on both retention and growth. This is a dynamic opportunity for a self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of commercial risks, global exposures, and client relationship management.

You’ll play a key role in building client trust, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business. This is a highly collaborative role with direct access to the Vice President and cross-functional teams; perfect for someone entrepreneurial, resourceful, and ready to grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow an established book of commercial business, with a focus on retention and expansion.
  • Deliver proactive, client-focused service through effective relationship management and strategic consultation.
  • Analyze client coverage, assess risk exposure, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Lead account planning and forecasting to support business growth objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point for outstanding client premiums and billing issues.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery and workflow efficiency.
  • Leverage personal and professional networks to support new business development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance and other Account Managers, to ensure seamless client service.

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial Insurance, including global risks and professional liability
  • RIBO License (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities
  • Confident, proactive approach to client service and problem-solving
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and a variety of insurance products and programs
  • Experience with broker management systems (e.g., EPIC) is an asset
