We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Account Assistant to provide administrative support for our Dealership & Leasing Program.  This is the ideal role for someone looking to build a career in a unique yet exciting vertical of the insurance world.

This position will act as a key support person; helping the service team mitigate and manage the risks associated with clients in the Automobile Dealership & Leasing industry. This role is responsible for assisting in the processing of commercial insurance policies, invoicing, data entry, document handling, and communication with clients and insurers. The position supports efficient policy servicing and contributes to maintaining compliance and client satisfaction. This entry-level role is the perfect first step for someone looking to make their mark in the insurance industry with a world-class organization!

What You’ll Do

  • Preparing insurance certificates, auto liability slips, binders, statements of values, proposals, and processing of client documents (endorsements and policies) within timelines aligned with established service standards

  • Support Account Associates and Managers in preparing client presentations, proposals etc.

  • Maintaining an effective abeyance system aligned with established service standards

  • Setting up clients and prospects into brokerage management system Epic and Certificate Exchange

  • Loading Policy and Underwriting Information into Epic

  • Updating rate/premium histories and premium comparisons; calculation of PST, Invoicing, processing of journal entries, execution of premium finance forms, collection of aged receivables, as required, and correction of commission differences

  • Maintaining and updating the Summary of Insurance (update as policy changes occur and at renewal)

  • Answering client queries, communicating with insurance companies

  • Ensure timely processing of client transactions

  • Updating claims history on loss runs

  • Providing support where required and performing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  • Typically, 1-2 years of admin experience, preferably in the financial services industry (insurance, banking, etc.)

  • 1-2 years of insurance account experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience on Epic broker management system is a plus

  • Knowledge of general insurance coverages – strong asset

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational, time and client management skills

  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written

  • Strong team player

  • Proactive and customer-focused approach

  • Strong initiative and follow-up skills

  • RIBO License or in progress – post 3 months of employment
