Job Summary:

The Machinist is responsible for crafting quality precision metal parts according to their CAD designs using CAM software required by the machine. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, employee handbook guidelines, health and safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school and a four-year apprenticeship or college diploma in a manufacturing field or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of Tebis
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with 5-axis machining of mechanisms (lifters, slides, and inserts)
  • General background in mold making an asset
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications
  • 3D and 2D machining knowledge 
  • Capable of recognizing and solving problems
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
  • Capable of operating heavy equipment such as a forklift and crane
