Join us at PolicyMe! We're modernizing life insurance and we'd like your help. Life insurance is a $1T industry that has remained largely unchanged for decades and we are in the process of changing that. We're a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions.


As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for building, supporting and enhancing the infrastructure needed to help continue to propel PolicyMe's growth into one of the biggest insurance brands in Canada.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with engineering teams to build proper tooling to help them succeed
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the security of our infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure to scale
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines to continue to serve new use cases
  • Analyze and configure environments to ensure that systems are secure against cybersecurity threats

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience
  • BS degree in Computer Science
  • Experience working in AWS and UNIX/Linux environments
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting and automation
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, debugging and analytical skills

  • Reports To: Software Engineering Manager
