About the role
We are looking for a Client Services Manager to own the delivery and client experience of our custom content projects.
You will take over once a deal is signed. You will manage timelines, coordinate internal teams, and act as the main point of contact for clients. You will also manage a small team and play a key role in improving how we deliver work as we scale.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You will run projects directly while overseeing delivery across the wider team. You will work closely with sales, editorial, design, and operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief, and to a high standard.
We work with clients across life sciences, chemistry, and analytical science. You will manage projects for a technical, science-literate audience, so a background in biology, chemistry, or a related field is essential.
What you will do
Own project delivery
- Manage a portfolio of client projects from handover to completion
- Define timelines, milestones and deliverables
- Ensure all work is delivered on time and within scope
Manage client relationships
- Act as the main point of contact for clients post-sale
- Run kickoff calls and ongoing check-ins
- Handle feedback, revisions and approvals with clarity and professionalism
Lead and support a small team
- Manage and develop a team of 2 client services team members
- Provide clear direction, support and accountability
- Ensure consistent ways of working across projects
Coordinate internal teams
- Work closely with editorial, design and production teams
- Translate client needs into clear, actionable briefs
- Keep projects moving and resolve issues quickly
Drive quality and improvement
- Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and internal standards
- Refine workflows, playbooks and processes to improve efficiency and consistency
- Use data and feedback to improve delivery over time
Commercial awareness
- Maintain strong scope control and protect project margins
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and project expansion
- Work with account managers to support renewals and growth
AI adoption
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency across project management, communication and workflows
- Support the adoption of new tools and ways of working across the team
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years’ experience in a client-facing delivery, account management or project management role, ideally in an agency, media or content environment
- A degree in biology, chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both clients and senior internal stakeholders
- Commercial awareness, including scope control and identifying growth opportunities
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Comfortable using AI tools and open to adopting new technologies
- Driven, proactive and solutions-focused
