Job Duration: Full-Time, Permanent, New Budgeted Position

Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $57,500. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for commission and bonuses.

The Personal Lines Sales team is looking for an energetic and passionate Insurance Client Executive / Insurance Broker who will leverage their industry knowledge and experience and offer customized personal insurance coverage that will protect, comfort and recover, providing peace of mind to new and existing clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Providing expert advice, recommendations, and counseling to prospects about their personal insurance coverage geared to their unique needs and exposures
  • Meeting and/or exceeding individual sales targets as well as department goals
  • Preparing documentation for prospects: complete applications for, issue insurance certificates, and set application for processing by internal or external keying team
  • Maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with key underwriters
  • Resolving any concerns or complaints with a professional demeanor by leveraging product and service knowledge
  • Quoting new prospects using Applied Rating Services or Company Portals
  • Representing the brokerage at industry functions when required
  • Keeping current on industry changes, underwriting rules, and workflow processes
  • Actively participate in training initiatives

What You Bring

  • RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in good standing required
  • Alberta General 1 or another provincial licenses are required at this time
  • Typically, more than 2 years of industry and/or personal lines experience
  • Extensive experience with Major Domestic Personal Lines Markets (Intact, Aviva, Economical, etc.)
  • Passion for sales with exceptional quoting skills; committed to delivering a top-notch client experience
  • Possess and display a professional presentation and demeanor as well as a solid understanding of the personal insurance business in a sales-focused environment
  • Proven experience working in a high volume and/or fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a Contact Centre environment is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills expected including fluency in Broker management systems – EPIC & ARS fluency are an asset
  • Ability to quickly learn the NFP business model and value proposition
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, both in person and virtually
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly and explain complex concepts in both official languages (French and English) is an asset
  • Professional insurance designation is a plus (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
