Handle cyber and technology insurance claims from first notification through settlement, including coverage analysis, reserving, litigation deadlines, third-party recoveries, vendor coordination, and claims administration. Build relationships with policyholders and brokers, collaborate with response vendors and internal teams, provide claims trend feedback, support product development, and escalate issues when necessary.
We’re looking for an experienced claims professional to help launch and shape CFC’s Canadian Admitted Claims offering. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening our global claims capability while ensuring policyholders and brokers continue to receive the high-quality, responsive service CFC is known for.
You will focus on handling a range of cyber and technology claims. You’ll also collaborate with specialist vendors, including forensic, legal and PR partners, to deliver cost-effective, high-quality support to insureds when they need it most.

This role will work with the CFC Global Claims and Incident Response team, along with a number of vendors including forensic, legal, and PR ensure that CFC delivers a cost effective, but high-quality response to our Insureds. The role will also involve working with Underwriting, Finance, IT and Products teams whilst being subject to all relevant legal, state and statutory requirements and obligations.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Proactively handle a cross-section of cyber and technology claims on behalf of CFC from first notification of loss to settlement.
- Foster good relationships with policyholders, brokers and drive excellent customer service.
- Actively work with a panel of response vendors during claims incidents.
- Ensure that there is prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third party recoveries and seeking to reduce claims leakage.
- The ability to prioritise where necessary, identifying deadlines such as those stipulated within lawsuits, demand letters and in addressing claims queries.
- Work closely with CFC’s panel of service providers to ensure a quality and value for money service is provided/received within required timeframes.
- General claims administrative duties such as electronic file management filing and payment requests, and the production of management information.
- Working closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues/trends and the Products team concerning the development of CFC’s products and wordings.
- Identify and escalate claims related issues to line manager where necessary.

- Proven experience handling complex claims, ideally in Cyber and technology
- A strong understanding of claims processes, reserving, coverage analysis and litigation management.
- Experience working with brokers, policyholders and external vendors, with a clear focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- The confidence to manage competing priorities, deadlines and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded approach, with sound judgement and strong communication skills.
- Relevant claims licensing for Canada, or a willingness to complete any required licensing exams with CFC’s support.
