Job Summary:
Pets Plus Us is seeking a Claims Processor. The Claims Processor will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and processing insurance claims and determining policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.
Job Location: Remote – Canada
Compensation: $40,500 CAD annually
Main Responsibilities:
- Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
- Reviews policies to make eligibility determination.
- Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholders.
- May order medical records from providers.
- May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician or 5+ years in the veterinary field if an unlicensed assistant.
- Must be located in Canada.
- High school or secondary school diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Veterinary technician licensure strongly preferred.
