About The Role

 

Our Claims team is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Coordinator for a summer contract. This role provides administrative and coordination support to help ensure claims are accurately reported, tracked, and communicated across internal teams and insurer partners.


This opportunity is ideal for a student interested in insurance, business operations, or risk management who is looking to gain hands-on exposure to the claims process within a brokerage environment.


Working alongside experienced claims professionals, you will assist with claim reporting, system updates, and communication with adjusters and internal stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with claim reporting to insurers and ensure required documentation is submitted accurately

  • Update the broker management system (EPIC) with claim opening and closing notices

  • Attach claim documentation and email correspondence to client files within EPIC

  • Triage incoming claim notices and route them to the appropriate HUB teams for follow-up

  • Maintain accurate claim records and internal tracking documents

  • Provide administrative support to the claims team as needed

  • Assist with special projects and process improvements within the claims departmen

The expected salary range for this position is $18-20/h and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
