What it’s like to be a Northbridge Claims Assistant

As a Claims Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our adjusters across all claims lines by providing prompt and efficient technical and administrative services. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role where attention to detail is essential. You’ll manage a variety of tasks, from processing payments and invoices to coordinating with police detachments for reports, and ensuring claims files are accurate and up to date. You’ll also help manage shared inboxes, support internal teams, and rotate in-office mail handling with your team on a hybrid schedule. This is not a call-queue role—your focus will be on organization, accuracy, and collaboration.

This role is an in-office position and requires candidates to be able to work 100% onsite from our Toronto office (105 Adelaide St W, Toronto, ON).

If you are great at:

  • Checking and receiving new claims

And you have:

  • Post-secondary school education or equivalent on the job experience.

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Growth opportunities to develop your career by applying to permanent roles as they become available.

  • We help you prioritize your well-being from day one through, early leave days, wellness programs, rewards, and recognition programs.

  • NBFC cares about the community and supports the causes you believe in with donation matching and team volunteer days.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $38,000 to $58,000, which reflects the expected base pay, the actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.

This is a real opportunity — we’re actively hiring! If the role sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply.

We also want to be transparent about our hiring process. While one of our systems includes AI capabilities, over 99% of our screening is done by real people. We believe in thoughtful, human-centered hiring decisions, and are committed to giving every application the attention it deserves.
