onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Burlington Operations as a CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) Engineer. As a CIM, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute in a team to sustain and enhance complex computerized automated integrated manufacturing systems.  This includes the analysis, design, development, integration, and testing of new systems as well as sustaining continuous improvement of existing systems used by manufacturing and business customers. This role involves working closely with business partners and IT (Information Technology) team members to provide innovative solutions to the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing. 

Responsibilities
  • Independently and effectively organize, manage, and complete multiple assignments with challenging timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with various cross-functional teams of peers, customers, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate effective analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Develop and deliver using a strategy that focuses on sustainability as well as maintenance and optimization of the existing application portfolio.
  • Effectively lead project teams.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide customer support for semiconductor processing manufacturing systems. 
  • Support the integration of MES with ERP, LIMS, SCADA, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot MES-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation to enable effective system utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards in system configuration and validation.
Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and/or related engineering/technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hard skills/interests in systems and analysis.
  • Familiar with, and able to utilize, software development/operations/integration methodologies and best practices.
  • Able to identify technology needs, formulate corresponding solutions, and utilize systematic methods/processes in doing so.
  • Able to manage and drive multiple concurrent tasks/projects involving various types of resources (FTE's, vendors, contractors, interns, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and relational database principles.
  • Innate assertiveness, flexibility, initiative, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationon.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic/global/matrix environment, often in remote/virtual settings.  

Preferred 

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or the pharmaceutical / Health Sciences/Medical Device industry in Canada or the United States.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Executive System (MES) and/or equipment automation. 
  • Experience with Electronic Batch Record System modeling, preferably Siemens Opcenter platform.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as BAAN or Oracle.
  • Experience in a cGMP regulated industry, as well as with application development, testing, and support based on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Verification experience associated with SQL server.
  • Experience with data visualization (reporting Power BI, Tableau).

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $86,500.00 to $120,000.00 Range plus health benefits. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
