Tenstorrent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer ​​that will play a critical role in supporting our locations within the U.S., Canada, and the Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ) region.This position will report directly to the Director of Commodity Management. In this position you will be responsible for the management of purchase requisitions, purchase order issuance, goods receipt processing, and record maintenance for our Supply Chain organization.

This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders for all direct and indirect goods, encompassing raw materials, components, assemblies, resale items, finished goods, and packaging supplies.
  • Review all purchase requests and purchase orders for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Place and proactively manage purchase orders for components, assemblies, and resale items, ensuring alignment with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production demand.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of purchase orders and suppliers, ensuring compliance with ISO-9001 requirements and company policies and procedures, including import/export regulations.
  • Coordinate the receiving process of purchased goods, WIP, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately record all received goods in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory systems, including item lead times, vendor data, pricing, and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ).

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with SAP software
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • A minimum of five years of experience handling the full purchase order lifecycle, including initiation, issuance, and subsequent goods receipt in ERP systems
