We are looking for a Business Systems Program Manager to drive improvements to our core business systems and broader technology environment. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, program/project management, technology, and organizational change. You will work with business teams, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to turn business priorities into successful initiatives, including process improvements, system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and new capabilities.

A key principle is that business teams own their processes, requirements, priorities, decisions, and outcomes. You provide the structure, analysis, facilitation, project leadership, and coordination needed to turn those priorities into results. You will work across CRM, PLM, ERP, and other enterprise applications, while also contributing to broader initiatives involving data, integrations, cloud technologies, automation, AI, security, and other emerging technologies.

Please note this is an in-office position, located at our head office in Ottawa, ON, address: 2650 Queensview Dr. Unit #150, Ottawa, ON K2B 8H6.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Business Partnership & Analysis

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, process owners, subject matter experts, and end users.
  • Facilitate discovery and requirements sessions to understand business needs, processes, challenges, priorities, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable initiatives.
  • Challenge assumptions and help distinguish the underlying business need from a proposed technology solution.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on business value, effort, risk, dependencies, strategic alignment, and organizational readiness.
  • Help business teams make decisions, establish priorities, and maintain ownership throughout initiatives.

Program & Project Management

  • Lead initiatives involving CRM, PLM, ERP, and other business systems and technologies from discovery through implementation and adoption.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, communications, and measures of success.
  • Coordinate business teams, IT, vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Manage risks, issues, decisions, actions, and deliverables while keeping initiatives moving forward.
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with clear visibility into progress, priorities, risks, roadblocks, and required decisions.
  • Manage multiple initiatives and help establish priorities across the portfolio.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Work with business teams to develop improvement roadmaps for key systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve integration and data, reduce duplication, and make better use of existing technology.
  • Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and related process changes.
  • Maintain a prioritized pipeline of improvements aligned with business and technology strategy.
  • Identify where automation, AI, and emerging technologies could provide meaningful business value.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Build communication, training, documentation, and adoption into project plans from the outset.
  • Work with business leaders and subject matter experts to prepare teams for change.
  • Ensure appropriate business ownership is established following implementation.
  • Gather feedback, address adoption challenges, and assess whether expected business outcomes are being achieved.

Implementation is not complete when the technology goes live. It is complete when the business successfully adopts the change and realizes the intended value.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

We are looking for someone who combines strong business analysis and project leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.

  • Experience in business analysis, project/program management, business systems, or a related technology role.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, PLM, or similar business systems.
  • Strong requirements gathering, process analysis, workshop facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives, stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Experience taking initiatives from discovery and requirements through implementation and adoption.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to create structure and momentum when requirements, priorities, ownership, or solutions are initially unclear.
  • Practical, business-oriented approach to technology and continuous improvement.

Experience with any of the following is an asset:

  • Manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments
  • Data migration, integration, reporting, or automation
  • Cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or technology governance
  • AI and emerging technologies
  • Vendor and implementation-partner management
  • Formal project, business analysis, or change-management practices
  • PMP, CBAP, Prosci, Agile, or related certifications

Deep expertise in any one business application is not required. We are looking for someone who can understand a business problem, bring the right people together, establish a path forward, and drive an initiative through successful adoption.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Expected salary range: $90,000-$110,000
  • 3 weeks paid vacation
  • Company-paid extended health and dental benefits
  • Annual Wellness Wallet
  • Bonus eligibility
