What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC Mellon Technology as a Business Systems Consultant, where you'll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned with CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. In this role, you'll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team to create and set up flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience. You'll provide technical expertise for service delivery and operations related to project management office tools and systems, working on complex issues across multiple technical areas. Mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth are key aspects of your role. You'll exercise independent judgment to continuously improve program and project management discipline, consult with IT and Business Management to apply technology to business opportunities, and devise new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking to facilitate the application of new technologies to support existing processes.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You'll Succeed

Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen, and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Solution Design – Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

  • Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

  • Technical Expertise – Provide advanced technical support for service delivery and operations, including troubleshooting, software installation, and configuration of business applications.

  • Continuous Improvement – Exercise independent judgment to improve project management discipline and facilitate the application of new technologies to support existing processes.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate broad technical experience. You have hands-on expertise with Windows Server Operating Systems and troubleshooting OS-related issues, installing and configuring software and business applications, managing and resolving technical requests through ticketing systems like ServiceNow, and supporting remote desktop applications. You possess basic cybersecurity awareness, including password management and phishing prevention, and have practical experience with secure file transfer technology (SFTP), Autosys Workload Automation, disaster recovery planning, and scripting or development languages such as Python, PowerShell, and SQL. It will be an asset to have basic knowledge of networking technologies and at least 3 years experience leading projects and designing solutions.

  • You put our clients first. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions and go the extra mile because it’s the right thing to do.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information, communicating detailed information in a meaningful way.

  • You're inspired by collective success. You believe teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one, and that an inclusive team brings a vision to life.
