We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our team.
This is a cross-functional role blending Business Analysis, IT Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Application Support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, developers, end users, and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery, enhancement, and support of internal applications and integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Dispatch, Finance, Safety, etc.) to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Prepare process flows, user stories, and solution documentation.
- Identify system/process improvement opportunities within trucking operations.
- Coordinate closely with internal development teams to clarify requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
- Assist developers in understanding operational workflows and business logic.
- Participate in solution design discussions.
- Validate proposed solutions against business needs.
- Assist in QA for ongoing internal developments, enhancements, and system migrations.
- Prepare test cases, test scenarios, and UAT documentation.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, log, and track defects to resolution.
- Conduct training sessions for end users on newly developed applications or features.
- Provide day-to-day application support and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with external vendors for API integrations and third-party system implementations.
- Assist in defining integration requirements and data mapping.
- Support testing and validation of API integrations.
- Ensure seamless data flow between internal and external systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst / IT Analyst / QA / Application Support role.
- Experience in the Trucking / Transportation / Logistics industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of operational workflows in trucking (dispatch, load management, billing, settlements, compliance, etc.).
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) preferred.
- Understanding of database concepts
- Experience with API integrations and data mapping.
- Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Devops.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
