Position: Business Development Representative (BDR)
Compensation: $100,000 CAD (OTE) uncapped upside for top performers
Location: Toronto Headquarters (Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week)

This role is based in Toronto and requires a minimum of three days per week in our office.
The role:
As a BDR, you are the engine of our sales growth. Your primary focus is producing qualified opportunities for the sales team. You will act as the first point of contact for potential clients, evangelizing our AI-driven financial data platform to key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outbound Prospecting: Hunt for new business by researching and contacting potential clients via cold calling, personalized emailing, and social selling (LinkedIn) to book qualified meetings for Account Executives.
- Inbound Qualification: Respond rapidly to inbound leads, qualifying their interest and fit before handing them off to the closing team.
- Pipeline Generation: Relentlessly pursue new opportunities to ensure the sales team has a full calendar of qualified demos.
- Strategic Outreach: Identify key decision-makers within Financial Institutions, Fintechs, and Asset Management firms.
- Data Hygiene: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prospect interactions in our CRM.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role (SaaS/Tech sales preferred), OR a hungry recent graduate with a track record of high achievement.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You are comfortable picking up the phone and commanding a conversation.
- Grit: You are resilient, competitive, and able to handle objections and rejection with a positive attitude.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern sales tools (CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach tools) is a plus.
- Coachability: You have a desire to learn, improve, and crave feedback to sharpen your sales skills.
- Established understanding of the financial sector (Fintechs, wealth management, or asset managers).
- Previous experience in a high-growth startup environment.
- A genuine interest in AI and financial markets.
