What does a successful Business Development Representative do at Fiserv?

We’re looking for a driven and entrepreneurial minded Business Development Manager to own and lead our expansion plans. You’ll be responsible for generating your own leads, building lasting relationships, and managing the entire sales cycle end to end. This is a high-impact role for a hunter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about technology, and wants to play a key role in shaping Clover’s growth in the SMB space.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect, identify, and generate new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from discovery and demo to negotiation, close, and post-sale transition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owner/operators from various business verticals, along with industry partners.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and live demonstrations tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and implementation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Accountable for performance, pipeline, and activities in CRM with precision and detail.

What you will need to have:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in restaurant technology, SaaS, or POS.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to meet with prospects, cold call, attend events, and deepen in-market face-to-face presence (Must have reliable transportation).
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience.

  • Strong network in the restaurant and hospitality industry is a big plus!
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit - you thrive when given autonomy.
  • Compelling presentation and demonstration abilities.
  • 2+ years of experience with sales pipeline management tools like Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in negotiating pricing and contract terms.
