You will build strong and lasting business relationships with our clients by identifying, selling and cross-selling opportunities, and measuring client satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional Vice-President & Regional Sales Manager to increase sales and market share of AGF products, by conducting proactive outbound sales calls with new and existing clients  
  • Proactively, or when requested, provide support to dealers and brokers on the market and fund performance and management strategies, portfolio manager philosophies/styles/processes as well as portfolio profiles, value added programs, products and company updates, and industry trends  
  • Support the Regional VP Sales and Regional Sales Manager by providing clients and prospective clients with product information and materials as required  
  • Participate in AGF branch visits, client seminars, branch presentations, road shows, conferences, and industry events  
  • Conduct regional market research on organizations and people to identify emerging needs and new sales opportunities, sharing same with team members  
  • Monitor sales activity within the territory to identify trends and provide suggestions to clients in order to retain assets  
  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships to allow for the identification, optimization, and realization of sales  
  • Support the building of sales and client relationships through the booking of client meetings primarily for the Regional Vice-President Sales and for the Regional Sales Manager, as required  
  • Effectively utilize provided sales tools including technology (CRM, Leads Module) to best achieve required business results  
  • Keep abreast of changes in the market and incorporate that knowledge into conversations with advisors. Stay current with competition and effectively communicate advantages and opportunities when presented with competitive situations.  
  • Maintain up to date client information in the CRM database  
  • Ensure compliance and governance procedures are adhered to with respect to expense management and other regulated aspects of the job  
  • Provide effective product and sales support to cultivate relationships and drive sales  
  • As required, and approved by the Retail Vice-President Sales and District Vice-President participate in and/or lead client visits  

  

Your Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field  
  • Strong asset to have financial industry experience , preferably as a Sales Coordinator or Business Development Manager
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com a strong asset  
  • Strong computer and phone skills, including Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point)  
  • Developed presentation skills and telephone skills  
  • Ability create and maintain client relationships  
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Strong organizational skills   
  • Excellent interpersonal, judgment & decision-making skills  
  • Self-motivated and ability to be a great team player  

  

Additional Strengths you may bring to the role:  

  • Successful completion of IFIC and CSC or equivalent  
  • Thorough knowledge of the securities industry and particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds
