This is a remote position.

We are looking for a strategic, proactive, and personable Business Development Manager to help grow our portfolio of partner businesses. This role is critical in identifying potential business acquisitions, building meaningful relationships with founders and business owners, and guiding them through the client's process


Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage potential business owners open to succession, exit, or investment.

  • Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and calls to generate qualified leads.

  • Build relationships with business brokers, advisors, and networks in Australia.

  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities based on PieLAB’s acquisition criteria.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to conduct initial assessments and present qualified opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline tracking through CRM tools.

  • Nurture long-term relationships with potential partners, even if they're not ready to transact.

  • Represent PieLAB’s purpose and approach authentically and compellingly.



RequirementsQualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, investment origination, M&A advisory, or B2B sales (experience working with Australian clients a plus).

  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.

  • Excellent English communication—both written and verbal.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive).

  • A genuine interest in business, investment, leadership, and succession planning.
