What You Can Expect:

  • Identify, develop, and secure new warehousing and contract logistics opportunities within the assigned territory and target market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across prospective and existing customer organizations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer's supply chain, operational challenges, and growth objectives to position tailored warehousing solutions.
  • Partner with Solution Design, Operations, and Engineering teams to develop competitive proposals, pricing strategies, and customer presentations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, implementation, and account handoff.
  • Execute strategic sales plans that support revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer retention.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately manage opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Conduct customer visits, facility tours, and business reviews to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Assess the commercial viability and strategic value of new opportunities while managing business risks appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Represent Rhenus at industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence and generate new business.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience within contract logistics, warehousing solutions, or third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Demonstrated success selling warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, or integrated supply chain solutions.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, contract logistics, inventory management, and value-added services.
  • Experience developing strategic customer relationships and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to understand customer supply chain challenges and recommend value-added solutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with operations, engineering, pricing, and implementation teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding, transportation, and integrated supply chain services is considered a strong asset.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Located within the assigned sales territory with the ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are an asset.
