Job Summary:

As the Business Analyst within Central 1's Treasury Team, you will assume a pivotal role, collaborating closely with the Product Manager to define business requirements, conduct process analysis, recommend enhancements, collaborate with support teams to efficiently manage client incidents and requests, coordinate risk assessments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of internal-facing treasury operations.

What you'll have to do:

  • Work with a wide variety of business and technology stakeholders to understand existing business process and functionality.

  • Assists in the development of business cases for projects, summarizing the costs, benefits, and measurable success criteria.

  • Supports Treasury operations and ensures compliance with organizational policies and standards in the areas of risk, legal, procurement and the PMO.

  • Analyze the clients’ needs, isolate, and identify gaps, translate business requirements into technical specification  and user stories, engage internal teams and conduct regular validation to ensure requirements are satisfied throughout the implementation process.

  • Works with stakeholders to gather information, conduct research, and document business needs and requirements.

  • Tracks and oversee the project life cycle from analysis through to deployment.

  • Provides training and support to clients and colleagues about new and enhanced products and services as well as write product documentation and user manuals.

  • Assists in preparing project plans, timeline and budget for approval and communicates requirements to the technical team; ensures project deliverables meet stated requirements, are delivered to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

  • Participates in presenting proposals to management and/or clients and provides background information regarding options to meet business and technical needs.

  • Maintains current knowledge of Central 1’s Treasury family of products, application functionality and the high level architecture of Central’s hosting environment

  • Tracks and oversees the project life cycle from analysis through to deployment, provides project updates to clients and/or internal management, and acts as liaison between technical, operational staff and clients in resolving planning and implementation issues.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining product and Treasury Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)analytics

What you have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies.

  •  University degree in computer science, business administration or other related discipline with an IT focus (or equivalent)

  • 3+ years’ experience working on projects through all stages of the project life cycle. 

  • Comfortable working on multiple activities of varying size and complexity, with conflicting deadlines in a team environment.

  • A working understanding of agile and waterfall development process, with a technical and/or financial and/or Treasury background considered an asset.

  • Detail oriented and diligent, with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Make connections between different stakeholder level of understanding and needs.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision.

  • Able to adapt oral and written communication to cater for to all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable with working with large complex data sets and some experience of business intelligence analytic tools like Tableau would be an asset.

  • Willingness and capability to learn new approaches, tools, and applications.

Salary: $80,000-$84,000

The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
