As a Business Analyst, Partnerships you will be responsible for:

  • Financials – Complete monthly financial transaction reports, audit and reconcile account classes expense, monitor all costs being charged for accuracy, identify variances and where impact is, identify and implement corrective action as required, keep up-to-date on budgeting trends and vendor product/service agreed charges

  • Inventory Management - Manage inventory reports to ensure adequate inventories of product is maintained to meet business needs, and refer forms and marketing collateral to owners for review, liaise with Vendors and internal business partners for inventory management to ensure product is current

  • Vendor Management - Develops and maintains manuals for vendors product catalogues, files and related administrative policies and procedures, monitor performance of vendors and internal service providers against established service level agreements and investigate where SLAs are not met for accuracy variance reporting

  • Efficiency - Analyze related processes, identify potential opportunities for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness, make recommendation and implement recommended changes upon approval.

  • Client Satisfaction – coordinate and manage activities on assigned programs and projects, provide accurate and timely information to clients/partners/vendors, assist with other duties as assigned in order to provide a high level of service throughout the entire Simplii  Business Operations team.

The incumbent must possess working knowledge of the Simplii offer and CIBC’s infrastructure, processes and services.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Reporting - Track progress and conduct analysis of data and reports. Support in the tracking and communication of performance metrics.

  • Business Effectiveness - Identify and recommend changes that enhance operations whether through technology or other processes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

  • Relationship Management - Manage the relationship between the various internal and external partners with a high focus on client experience and partnering for shared success.  Build internal and external relationships as required to help ensure we are providing the right level of service to our leadership team and business partners. 

  • Communication -  Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve analysis, processes, and technology solutions to others with different disciplinary backgrounds.

  • Presentation Skills - Prepare and present reports to Management to keep them informed of the status of the projects, communicate upcoming changes and/or present recommendations

  • Time Management and Accountability - Ability to meet very tight deadlines through effective prioritization. Ability to work independently with little direction in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
