Sentara Health is now hiring a Business Analyst (Remote)!

Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for designing and generating reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business operations. Analyzing trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting. The incumbent must be able to utilize SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data; conduct statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making and translate complex data into concise, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders. The Business Analyst must be able to assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of business information systems; maintain data structures, queries, and reporting tools to support business needs; and work closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and system functionality. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for documenting business processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement, and providing recommendations for enhancing data collection, storage, and analysis methods while working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT to understand reporting needs.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

  • Required to have experience working with healthcare data.
  • Required to have an understanding of claims and how they are paid.
  • Required to have 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data reporting, or analytics.
  • Experience working with business intelligence (BI) tools, SQL querying, and reporting software.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple databases.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$53,476.80-$89,128.00Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
