  • Expertise in headless and composable technologies.
  • Diverse B2C and B2B planning and implementation experience and a deep understanding of both markets.
  • Integrated onshore and offshore teams in six countries, offering support for round-the-clock productivity.
  • Member of Umbrella-Incorporated, a business consulting firm, Tidal provides holistic end-to-end digital transformation solutions with cross-functional expertise in strategy, finance, operations, marketing and technology.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Shopify and Order Management Systems (OMS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in Shopify (including Shopify Plus) and a solid understanding of eCommerce workflows, headless setups, and systems integrations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, support solution design, and ensure seamless execution across Shopify storefronts and OMS platforms.
This would be a short-term project.

What you'll do

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Shopify-based eCommerce projects and related OMS integrations.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to design scalable solutions across Shopify, OMS tools (e.g., Pipe17, Cin7, or similar), and supporting middleware.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in current eCommerce workflows, recommending improvements where needed.
  • Support solution design by analyzing Shopify features, product/catalog structures, checkout configurations, fulfillment workflows, and order routing rules.
  • Participate in project planning, system integration efforts, QA, and user acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams, product owners, developers, and QA to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with Shopify ecosystem updates, OMS best practices, and emerging trends in eCommerce integrations.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Shopify and eCommerce.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus, including understanding of Liquid themes, checkout configurations, or headless approaches.
  • Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) and understanding of workflows such as order creation, routing, fulfillment, returns, and inventory sync.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce processes including catalog management, pricing, promotions, checkout, and post-purchase workflows.
  • Experience writing functional specifications, user stories, business process maps, and use cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent documentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business and technical teams effectively.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team.
  • Continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Flexible work arrangements
