Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with hands-on experience in Murex to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and facilitate successful implementations of Murex-based solutions.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $115k – CAD $130k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to trading, risk management, and treasury processes.
  • Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of Murex functionalities and project scope.
  • Provide detailed functional specifications and contribute to the design of Murex configurations and workflows.
  • Support the testing phase by developing test plans, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), and documenting test results.
  • Assist in the deployment and implementation of Murex solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Identify process improvements and work on optimization initiatives within trading and risk management processes.
  • Stay updated with Murex product updates and industry best practices to advise clients effectively.

Requirements:

  • 8+years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services domain, specifically with Murex implementations.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, trading, risk management, and treasury operations.
  • Knowledge of Murex modules such as Front Office, Risk, Collateral, and Post-Trade.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with technical teams and clients.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Experience with SQL, XML, or other relevant technical tools is a plus.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience working in financial services, investment banking, or related domains.
