We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with collaborators to identify business requirements, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve processes and drive business growth. The successful candidate requires strong modeling skills to effectively forecast, plan, and optimize workforce resources.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use time series and regression analysis to predict mortgage origination volumes and identify key drivers such as seasonality, marketing campaigns, and industry trends.

  • Develop headcount models based on demand forecasts, productivity ratios, and service-level targets, incorporating shrinkage factors like breaks, training, and absenteeism.

  • Simulate business conditions (e.g., volume spikes, policy changes) and design optimal shift patterns aligned with demand curves and intraday workload distribution.

  • Analyze resource trends and workload patterns; create dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.

  • Gather and document business requirements, assist in strategy development, and support project management for timely delivery.

  • Monitor and evaluate business processes, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and service levels

  • Shrinkage modeling accounting for non-productive time (eg breaks, training, absenteeism)

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration, Science in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • Knowledge of AI-driven tools and techniques, including their application in process optimization, data analysis, and decision support

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

  • Skilled in communication, storytelling, and delivering engaging presentations to senior leadership

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Thorough with exceptional organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional); PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis); Agile or Scrum certifications; Power BI certification

  • Experience in banking specific to Mortgage Industry is an asset

  • Advanced Knowledge of Power BI, Excel, Salesforce, Workforce management platform

  • Experienced in straight-through processing (STP) and automation of operational workflows

Salary range is expected to be between

$68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
