What You’ll Be Doing

As a Business Analyst, you’ll work in a cross-functional Agile squad focused on delivering high-quality, future-proof solutions. A Business Analyst (BA) in a Management Accounting (MA) reporting environment acts as the bridge between finance stakeholders, data engineering teams, and reporting platforms. The BA ensures that management reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. This role combines financial domain expertise with strong analytical, data, and communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the analysis and design of changes to financial reporting systems and processes.
  • Translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and solution designs.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and Data teams to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting testing and implementation.
  • Supporting the full change lifecycle—from impact analysis to post-release support.
  • Helping to ensure our reporting remains compliant, accurate, and aligned with business developments and regulatory requirements.
  • Support daily run activities to ensure daily and month end processing in cooperation with Platform team and our colleagues in Manila

And more specific:

* Data validation & UAT for example.

  • Prepare test cases and acceptance criteria for functional and end-to-end testing.
  • Perform data checks, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis of issues.

* Governance & Documentation.

  • Maintain functional documentation, data dictionaries, mapping tables, and lineage.
  • Ensure alignment with audit, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Support process standardization and continuous improvement.

* Financial & Domain knowledge

  • Strong understanding of management accounting concepts (e.g., cost allocation, product or customer profitability, management balance sheet, interest margins).
  • Familiarity with banking products (e.g., current accounts, savings, loans, fees)
  • ING WoW - Experience with Agile / Scrum delivery.

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, and eager to make a difference. You should have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (preferably finance or technology);
  • 5+ years experience working with large datasets, databases and ETL;
  • Strong SQL skills (SAS EG is a plus, or willingness to learn);
  • A solid understanding of banking products and financial/regulatory reporting;
  • A detail-oriented mindset with strong data analysis skills;
  • Experience working in Agile/Lean environments is a plus;
  • The ability to connect the dots between business needs and technical solutions.
