Job Summary

Express Scripts Canada is seeking a highly experienced Business Analysis Senior Advisor to join our NIHB Application Development Department.  The ideal candidate will be someone who understands the product vision, business and technology objectives, and translates needs into requirements to ensure that expected outcomes are achieved. This role also supports the development, testing and releasing activities of every product increment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end business analysis activities to drive product value creation and ensure alignment with product vision, business goals, and technology strategy.

  • Manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with stakeholder expectations and organizational priorities.

  • Develop comprehensive Analysis Proposals, collaborate with internal ESC stakeholders, and support client approval processes for proposals and cost estimates.

  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and alignment sessions to ensure shared understanding of requirements, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

  • Conduct deep analysis of complex incidents and problems, leveraging expertise to recommend corrective actions, implementation approaches, and measurable outcomes.

  • Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, goal‑setting, impediment removal, and continuous improvement through retrospective insights.

  • Lead and actively participate in Product Discovery & Refinement (PDR) activities to ensure solutions align with business objectives and technical standards.

  • Collaborate with development, product, and account management teams to review solution approaches, communicate impacts, and support resolution of escalations.

  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and non‑functional requirements (epics, user stories) and support teams in demoing completed work to stakeholders.

  • Drive cross‑functional alignment, oversee planning, resource coordination, and risk management for large‑scale, high‑visibility initiatives.

  • A highly experienced Business Analyst (7–10 years) with expert‑level skills in requirements analysis, Agile/Scrum practices, and complex system evaluation.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, influence decisions, and provide thought leadership on business and technology topics.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues, understand broad impacts, and recommend well‑structured, forward‑thinking solutions.

  • Adaptable, customer‑focused professional with strong problem‑solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and thriving in a dynamic environment.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes, system components, data flows, and the ability to work effectively with software development teams.

Pre-Employment Requirements
