Salary range (but not limited to):

109,900 - 134,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist – Finance Transformation to optimize our processes, ensure reliable information, and accelerate performance. You will work closely with the Finance and IT teams on transformation projects to make the Finance function a global benchmark.


What you’ll do here:

  • Serve as the Finance–IT link and align technology solutions with financial priorities (close, consolidation, FP&A, reporting).

  • Master the chart of accounts, accounting cycle, internal/external reporting requirements, and our Finance ERP.

  • Deeply analyze processes and data (GL, subledgers, reconciliations, allocations, KPIs) and recommend data-driven improvements.

  • Gather and document financial requirements, lead workshops/interviews, and identify optimization opportunities (R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A).

  • Challenge the status quo and propose measurable gains (shorter close cycle, automated reconciliations, standardized reporting).

  • Ensure technical teams understand Finance requirements throughout projects.

  • Clearly present issues and impacts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to Finance leadership and executives.

  • Lead testing and quality assurance focused on financial risks; support UAT and compliance.

  • Support change management and mentor less experienced colleagues.


What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a specialist in the finance domain.

  • Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA or master’s is an asset.

  • CPA designation is a major asset.

  • Six Sigma certification is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and IFRS 17 are strong assets.

  • Good understanding of the accounting cycle.

  • Strong analytical skills and mastery of financial analysis tools (Office 365, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, Power Query) – This skill will be tested.

  • Communication: extensive experience clearly communicating technical analyses.

  • Experience presenting complex information and expertise to senior leadership and executives.

  • Skills: adaptability, innovation, analytical mindset, decision-making, critical thinking, clear communication, planning and organization, teamwork.

  • Ability to plan and execute projects.

  • Autonomy, initiative, and solution orientation.

  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, an ETL tool, and an RDBMS is considered an asset.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
