Job Description:

What will you work on?

Spin Master’s Global Brand Finance team is looking for a Brand Finance Manager who is ready to hit the ground running, bringing bold ideas, sharp analytical skills, and a solution-driven mindset to our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.

This is not just a financial planning role, it's a business partnering position where you will collaborate with global brand teams, providing the strategic insights needed to shape the future of some of the world’s most beloved toys and entertainment brands. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Finance, you will play a crucial role in financial decision-making, pricing strategy, and forecasting, all while supporting long-term business growth.
How will you create impact?

  • Transform complex financial data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for brand leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop high-impact presentations, charts, and visualizations to guide strategic decisions.
  • Incorporate analysis from non-financial data sources such as Circana, box office results, media tracking, and other industry trends into financial modeling to create a holistic business view as well as own financial modeling and scenario planning to support pricing strategies, profitability targets, and business expansion.
  • Lead the development of operating plans, budgets, and forecasts for global brands and markets.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and variance analyses, identifying trends and recommending data-driven solutions whil overseeing and refining forecasting models, sensitivity analyses, and performance tracking to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage Toy Line Plan (TLP) rates and inputs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Work proactively with commercial and global business teams, anticipating challenges and crafting financial scenarios that support strategic discussions and assess potential licensing partnerships, providing financial insights and risk assessments.
  • Organize and lead the quarterly Market Business Review process, collaborating cross-functionally to refine projections and action plans.
  • Engage heavily with Brand Marketing and Sales Commercial teams, providing high-visibility financial insights from Brand Managers to Senior VPs, and from Finance Analysts to the CFO, SVPs and EVP of Sales.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to junior finance staff, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.

What are your skills and experience?

  • Experience with SAP, BPC Planning, SAP Analytics Cloud Reporting, BI, Power BI reporting experience is a plus
  • Ability to incorporate non-financial data sources such as Circana, Box office data, and Ecomm media tracking into financial analysis.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office and advanced level Excel skill (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)
  • Experience in a public company setting, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), toy, retail, or lifestyle preferred
