About the Role:

Does the written word make you all sorts of giddy? Do poorly structured sentences keep you up at night? Would you love to bring outrageous ideas to life for an awesome international brand? Then you’ve got the right stuff to be G Adventures’ newest hotshot copywriter.

In this role, you’ll be writing words and thinking up ideas of all shapes and sizes for our global brand and regional offices. Social content, print ads, video scripts, radio spots, emails, digital assets — you’ll do it all, and for a brand that oozes personality, embraces the bizarre, and that’s truly on a mission to make the world a better place. This role is a 14 month fixed term contract

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work together with the other freakishly talented members of the creative team to produce work that hits the brief, inspires people to travel responsibly, and elevates the G Adventures’ brand into the exosphere.

  • Be a champion of all-things brand voice. Protect it. Infuse it. Cherish it like it’s your own.

  • Write copy for literally almost every channel. Well-rounded you will become, grasshopper.

  • Balance global and regional priorities so deadlines are met and the ol’ machine keeps running smoothly.

  • Brainstorm on your own and as a team to come up with ideas that could change the world, or at least make random strangers on the internet laugh a little bit.

  • Figure out how to use our project management software (ClickUp) so your desk doesn’t have to be covered in post-it notes.

Desired Skills & Experience: 

  • A post-secondary degree in a related field is a plus, but a portfolio showing you can write and think up ideas is way more important.

  • 3-6 years of copywriting experience on either client or agency side. We’re not picky.

  • Versatile writing chops that you can apply to all sorts of mediums, from short and snappy social posts to long-form print.

  • The ability to pick out the good ideas from the not-so-good ones.

  • Confidence in presenting work to our immediate team and other stakeholders. We don’t bite! And Chris probably isn’t listening anyways.

  • Basic knowledge of how to use a computer. Copy, paste. Webcam on. Document attached. All that good stuff.

Additional Information

  • Base Salary Hiring Range: $47,606.00 - $63,475.00 CAD annually
     

Final salary offered will fall within the posted salary range and will vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications
