What you’ll do:

As a Brand Communications Specialist you will support the planning, development, and execution of consumer facing brand communications initiatives across integrated channels for Canadian Tire retail and other key brands/banners such as PHL, Sherwood, Party City, Triangle Rewards and more.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of brand building campaigns that connect emotionally with Canadian consumers and reinforce Canadian Tire’s brand purpose.

  • Partner closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure communications are aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives.

  • Support day-to-day execution of influencer marketing programs, including talent identification, vetting, briefing, content review, and performance tracking.

  • Monitor performance metrics alongside analytics partners to assess impact and inform optimization of content and channels. Contribute to campaign wrap reports.

  • Support team on core media relations activities including, media list development, media pitching, press material development, media monitoring and more.

  • Maintain a pulse on the PR landscape including creator trends, social culture, brand activations, and emerging platforms to ensure Canadian Tire shows up in relevant, meaningful ways.

  • Support planning and of execution of brand events for media/influencers (product previews, creator brand trips), on-site support at events, occasional afterhours/weekend work (less than 10% of time).

  • Help contribute to campaign narratives, messaging frameworks and PR materials to ensure brand consistency across touchpoints.

  • Support agency partner and work collaboratively to contribute to the development of effective communications plans.

  • Conduct research to inform communications strategies and refine storytelling across campaigns.

  • Support team on managing timelines, deliverables and approval processes across multiple initiatives.

  • Maintain high attention to detail and brand consistency in all materials.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in communications/PR role; agency experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience managing influencer programs—from talent discovery to briefing, content review, optimization, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of digital analytics and social performance metrics.

  • Strong media relationships and knowledge in the lifestyle/consumer/retail media landscape.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication instincts.

  • Highly collaborative, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for cultural trends, social platforms, and modern storytelling, with a drive to push creative boundaries.

Our typical hiring range is between $44,000 and $73,000 Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
