We are looking for a Bilingual Recruiter  (Canada - English/French) who will join our Scotts Miracle-Gro Talent Acquisition Team to support our Canada business groups.

The ideal candidate will be able to work a hybrid schedule out of our Mississauga, ON office but open to remote in Ontario, Quebeca, or New Brunswick!

In this Recruiter role, your main objective is to act as a talent advisor to all the Canadian business groups in an effort to attract and retain world-class talent to the organization.  You will be supporting both hourly staffing needs and end to end recruiting on salaried roles.  No two days will be the same. Whether you are cultivating strong relationships with hiring teams and HR partners or hunting for potential candidates through traditional and niche avenues.   We’re always looking for new ways to innovate our recruitment strategy so if you consider yourself to be a trend chaser and enjoy executing process improvements then you would fit in well on our team!

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Source and recruit talent for supply chain and sales hourly and salaried positions

  • Facilitate recruiting strategy meetings with hiring teams to clearly define staffing needs and sourcing strategies

  • Lead and execute various talent-related process improvements in partnership with internal and external stakeholders (HR, vendors, corporate communications etc.)

  • Challenge hiring teams to think “outside the box” by presenting diverse slates of candidates

  • Provide exceptional candidate experience throughout and after the recruiting lifecycle     

  • Work as a liaison between candidates, hiring managers and human resources staff

  • Partner with TA Coordinators on recruiting administrative activities

  • Provide coaching and developmental feedback to hiring managers and consult with HR Generalist teams for hiring decisions, potential employee relations issues and outcomes from the interview/assessment process

  • Streamline hiring processes throughout Canada to provide consistency and enhanced reporting

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bilingual (ability to speak, read and write in both English and French)

  • A minimum of 2 years of full life-cycle recruiting

  • Ability to manage a high volume of requisitions 

  • Experience with sourcing both salaried and hourly candidates

  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple business priorities

  • Experience sourcing talent through various platforms

  • Understanding of Canadian employment laws and requirements

Ce que vous ferez dans ce rôle:

  • Rechercher et recruter des personnes compétentes pour les postes horaires et salariés de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et des ventes.

  • Animer des réunions de stratégie de recrutement avec les équipes de recrutement pour définir clairement les besoins en personnel et les stratégies d'approvisionnement.

  • Diriger et exécuter diverses améliorations des processus liés aux talents en partenariat avec des intervenants internes et externes (RH, fournisseurs, communications d'entreprise, etc.).

  • Défier les équipes de recrutement pour qu'elles sortent des sentiers battus en présentant des listes de candidats diversifiées.

  • Offrir une expérience exceptionnelle aux candidats tout au long du cycle de recrutement et après celui-ci.     

  • Assurer la liaison entre les candidats, les responsables du recrutement et le personnel des ressources humaines.

  • Collaborer avec les coordonnateurs de recrutement pour les activités administratives liées au recrutement.

  • Fournir un encadrement et une rétroaction sur le perfectionnement aux gestionnaires chargés de l'embauche et consulter les équipes de généralistes en RH au sujet des décisions d'embauche, des problèmes potentiels de relations avec les employés et des résultats du processus d'entrevue et d'évaluation.

  • Simplifier les processus d'embauche à travers le Canada afin d'assurer la cohérence et d'améliorer les rapports.

Ce dont vous aurez besoin pour réussir:

  • Bilingue (capacité de parler, lire et écrire en anglais et en français)

  • Un minimum de 2 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du recrutement tout au long du cycle de vie.

  • Capacité à gérer un volume élevé de demandes d'emploi. 

  • Expérience de la recherche de candidats salariés et horaires.

  • Expérience de l'utilisation de systèmes de suivi des candidats (Workday de préférence).

  • Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement multi-tâches au rythme rapide.

  • Capacité à prioriser la charge de travail et à gérer de multiples professionnels.

  • Expérience de la recherche de talents par le biais de diverses plateformes

  • Compréhension des lois et exigences canadiennes en matière d'emploi 

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $82,600.00 - $103,300.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.
