About this PositionWe are seeking a Bilingual Corporate Communications Specialist to join our corporate office in assisting with public relations, social media, digital content and other key strategic initiatives for our Canadian operations.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Work broadly across teams and multiple stakeholders working with content owners and others to prioritize, influence content and influence channel selection to maximize the value of communications
- Develop content across different delivery vehicles (press releases, emails, social media, etc.) and to meet the needs of different audiences
- Develop ideas for new content and identify content gaps
- Build and maintain media lists & help execute media outreach
- Craft media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets and press releases
- Develop briefing documents
- Research and identify potential company and executive awards
- Craft and submit award entries
- Communicate data, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences
- Incorporate SEO keywords into content while maintaining authentic voice
- Demonstrate high-quality written communication skills with minimal accuracy issues
- Assist with executing web and social media initiatives
- Assist with event planning
- Assist with administrative duties
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in communications, digital marketing, public relations or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
- Preferred content development and copywriting experience related to digital reputation tactics that drive positive search results and/or engagement
- Effective project management and multi-tasking skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Positive and professional attitude
- Preferred financial services industry experience
- Adjust and pivot in the context of evolving priorities
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to different business models and objectives
- Excellent at navigating a large and complex organization
